Lubor Trubka Associates were successful in a selection process to be one of the six teams to design the new University Campus in the North and for the
North with specific responsibility for the Conference Centre and Physical Fitness Facilities in the centre of the Campus
FEATURES:

Sustainable construction utilizing 100% wood and engineered wood technologies and materials.

Building envelope and mechanical systems designed to cope with extreme climate conditions with low energy consumptions and low maintenance costs.

Designed to a specification requirement for a 200-year life span.
SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDED:

Working together in close liaison with five other teams designing other parts of the campus.

Jointly revising and refining overall master plan prepared by planning consultants from Boston USA

Jointly and in close liaison with 15 members of UNBC Committee finalizing detailed program.

Coordinating design and engineering resolutions of the overlapping areas between the individual 6 components of the campus with the other
architectural and engineering teams.

“Fast track” delivery process of designs and construction with project management.
The project was completed within the scheduled time and below the estimated budget.
